About Desert Mountain villas and cottages

Lock and leave living inside the gates.

The club groups Desert Mountain's lock and leave choices as villas, cottages and patio homes, which it describes as gated communities of lock and leave residences. Two HOA villages carry the name, Apache Cottages and Sonoran Cottages and Enclave, and Seven Desert Mountain adds villas and stacked flat condominiums.

Over the past 12 months, 35 of the 161 Desert Mountain sales were townhomes, patio homes or condos on the MLS record, while 126 were detached single family homes. The club says many villages have their own rules, bylaws and architectural review guidelines on top of the Desert Mountain HOA, so ask for the village documents and any village dues before you write an offer.

This page follows every Desert Mountain listing with an MLS dwelling type of townhouse, patio home, apartment style unit, or twin home. Some homes the community calls villas or cottages may be recorded as detached single family homes, and those will not appear here; ask us if you are looking for a specific village. Desert Mountain here means listings in ZIP code 85262 whose MLS subdivision name includes Desert Mountain, which is how most homes inside the gates are recorded. The MLS usually does not record the village, and a few homes may be filed under another subdivision name.
