The story of Scottsdale Quarter
How the area came to be.
Scottsdale Quarter sits at 15279 N Scottsdale Rd across from Kierland Commons. Glimcher Realty Trust developed it as an open air shopping, dining and office center on about 28 acres, and its $250 million first phase opened in 2009; Glimcher bought out its joint venture partner in 2010 and merged into Washington Prime Group in 2015.
The residential District at the Quarter was enabled by a Greater Airpark plan amendment approved November 14, 2016. The center's site lists it as owned by FalconEye Ventures and managed by Vestar.
