Your vision, your home, our expertise.
Our Northeast Valley community map lists 259 communities across Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Cave Creek, Carefree, Anthem, and North and Central Phoenix, and every one of them opens to its own homes for sale page. If you are trying to figure out where to look, not just what to buy, it is the fastest way we know to narrow a big area down to a short list.
Open the Northeast Valley map, pick an area from the Zoom to buttons or type a community name in the search box, and tap a community to see a short description and a button to its homes for sale page. Use the Golf filter to show only golf communities. From there, each community page shows current listings and 12 month market figures you can compare side by side.
What the map covers
- Communities listed: 259 communities and towns, grouped by area (Arizona Luxury Partners Northeast Valley map, checked November 3, 2026)
- Golf filter: 49 communities tagged Golf when the Golf filter is on (same map, November 3, 2026)
- Zoom areas: North Scottsdale, Central Scottsdale, South Scottsdale and Old Town, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Rio Verde area, Cave Creek and Carefree, North Phoenix, and Central Phoenix, plus a Whole map view (same map, November 3, 2026)
- Map key: color fills for Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills and Rio Verde, Phoenix and Anthem, Cave Creek and Carefree, and the Cactus Corridor, plus golf courses and preserves or parks (same map, November 3, 2026)
- Data basis: illustrated from Maricopa County GIS data, with community outlines that follow recorded subdivision plats and are approximate (map page note, November 3, 2026)
How to use the map, step by step
1. Start with an area, not a house
The Zoom to buttons across the top move the map to one part of the Northeast Valley. Tap Fountain Hills, for example, and the map centers on the town with its golf courses shaded green, while the side panel shows a short description of the town and a button to view Fountain Hills homes for sale. The same works for Rio Verde, Cave Creek and Carefree, Paradise Valley, and both halves of Phoenix. If you get lost, the Whole map button brings you back to the full view.
2. Search a community by name
If you already have a name in mind, type it in the Search a community box. Type Grayhawk and the map zooms to its outline and the panel shows that it sits between Scottsdale and Pima Roads, that it has the Talon and Raptor courses, and that homes range from condos to gated estates, with a button straight to Grayhawk homes for sale. This is handy when a friend mentions a community and you have no idea where it is.
3. Turn on the Golf filter
The All and Golf buttons in the top right change what the list shows. With Golf on, the list drops to the 49 communities tagged as golf communities, from places like Troon North homes for sale and Desert Mountain homes for sale in north Scottsdale to the Rio Verde area. Golf courses stay shaded green on the map either way, so you can see how close a neighborhood sits to the fairways.
4. Tap through to the community page
Every community in the list and on the map links to its own page. Those pages show live MLS listings plus a short answer with the latest count of homes for sale, the 12 month median sale price, price per square foot, median days on market, sale to list ratio, and months of supply, each with an as of date. That is where the real comparing happens.
Comparing communities side by side
Here is what that looks like for three north Scottsdale golf communities you can find with the Golf filter. These figures come straight from each community page, which credits ARMLS via Flexmls, calculated by Arizona Luxury Partners.
- Grayhawk: 62 homes for sale, median list $615,000; 197 sales over 12 months at a median $775,000 ($399 per square foot), 57 median days on market, 97.6% sale to list, about 3.8 months of supply (Grayhawk homes for sale page, as of November 2, 2026)
- Troon North: 42 homes for sale, median list $1,424,500; 102 sales over 12 months at a median $1,275,000 ($454 per square foot), 66.5 median days on market, 97.3% sale to list, about 4.9 months of supply (Troon North homes for sale page, as of October 31, 2026)
- DC Ranch: 51 homes for sale, median list $3,650,000; 188 sales over 12 months at a median $2,700,000 ($688 per square foot), 50 median days on market, 96.8% sale to list, about 3.3 months of supply (DC Ranch homes for sale page, as of October 31, 2026)
Three communities, all golf, all in north Scottsdale, and the median sale prices span from under $800,000 to $2.7 million. That spread is the reason we built the map. Names that sound similar on paper can be very different in price, home type, and pace. You can then open DC Ranch homes for sale next to the other two and see the listings themselves. Grayhawk sits in ZIP 85255, so homes for sale in 85255 is a good wider view of that part of the city, and Scottsdale homes for sale covers the whole city.
Practical ways to use it
- Build a short list by commute. Zoom to the area where you work or spend the most time, then look at which community outlines sit closest to the main roads shown on the map, like Shea Boulevard and the Beeline Highway.
- Check the edges. The map key shades preserves and parks with hatching, so you can see which communities back up to open desert and which are surrounded by other neighborhoods.
- Compare towns, not just neighborhoods. Use the Zoom to buttons for an area view, then open Cave Creek homes for sale and Carefree homes for sale side by side, or Rio Verde homes for sale against Fountain Hills, to see how the market figures differ.
- Note the as of dates. Each community page is updated on its own schedule, so when you compare, write down the date next to each figure.
Avoid this mistake: treating a community outline as a legal boundary. The map notes that outlines follow recorded subdivision plats and are approximate. Before you write an offer, confirm the exact subdivision, HOA, and any gate or golf access through the title report, the HOA documents, and the listing itself.
The honest caveats
- The map is a guide to where communities are, not a survey. Outlines are approximate and drawn from county plat data.
- A Golf tag does not mean every home has course access or that a club membership comes with the home. Membership rules vary by club.
- Market figures on community pages cover the past 12 months and can move with a small number of sales, especially in smaller or higher priced communities.
- Medians hide a wide range. A community with condos and custom homes will show a median that fits neither well, so look at the sub area pages where they exist.
- The map shows the Northeast Valley only. Communities outside that area are not on it.
Frequently asked questions
What areas does the Northeast Valley map cover?
It covers Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Cave Creek, Carefree, Anthem, and North and Central Phoenix. As of November 3, 2026, it lists 259 communities and towns, grouped by area.
How do I find golf communities in Scottsdale and nearby towns?
Turn on the Golf filter at the top of the map. The list then shows only communities tagged as golf communities, 49 of them as of November 3, 2026, and golf courses are shaded green on the map.
Are the community boundaries on the map exact?
No. The map is illustrated from Maricopa County GIS data, and community outlines follow recorded subdivision plats and are approximate. Confirm the exact subdivision and HOA through the title report and HOA documents before you buy.
What happens when I tap a community?
The map zooms to it and the side panel shows a short description, a Golf tag if it applies, and a button to that community's homes for sale page. The page shows live listings and recent market figures with an as of date.
How often are the market figures updated?
Each community page shows the date its figures were last updated, and pages are updated on their own schedules. Always check the as of date on each page when comparing communities.
The bottom line
The Northeast Valley is big, and community names do not tell you much about price, home type, or location. The map lets you start with an area, narrow it with search or the Golf filter, and then compare real, dated market figures on each community page. Use it to build a short list, then talk with us about what the numbers do not show.
